Bureau of Cannabis Control serves a search warrant on “Costa Mesa Beach Buds”

SACRAMENTO – The Bureau of Cannabis Control (Bureau) and the Department of Consumer Affairs’ Division of Investigation-Cannabis Enforcement Unit (DOI-CEU) today announced enforcement action on an unlicensed cannabis business operating out of Southern California.
On Thursday, March 28, 2019, DOI-CEU and the Costa Mesa Police Department served a search warrant on “Costa Mesa Beach Buds,” an unlicensed cannabis delivery service located in Costa Mesa. The search warrant was served at 1651 Placentia Ave., which resulted in the seizure of over $1.4 million in cannabis products.
“Illegal dispensaries harm and burden surrounding business owners and taxpayers,” City of Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley said. “Allowing them to illegally operate in the city creates an unfair advantage over our lawfully permitted green zone businesses. We are so grateful for the efforts of the Bureau to address illegal dispensaries in Costa Mesa.”
