Good morning. My name is Rob Hendrix and I am the founder of Cannabis Consulting Nationwide. I came to this place by taking the leap of faith in Washington State’s Initiative 502 which as you probably are aware created the legal, adult-use Cannabis market in Washington State. I opened my retail Cannabis shop, Cannabis Central of Ellensburg, on August 25, 2014. The vetting process to make myself eligible for the Lottery system in order to obtain a retail Cannabis was in a word, grueling. Opening the shop was a shock; to my community, my friends, my family.

I created Cannabis Consulting Nationwide as a result of these emotional experiences myself and family endured as a result of our decision to enter this still very controversial industry. While I can dive into the Xs and Os of retail business with the best of them, I choose to balance the business management issues with an emphasis on the emotional issues associated with opening this type of business. These issues I believe are unique to this industry and therefore require an understanding of the unique nature of legal, adult-use Cannabis retail operation and management.
If you are in the beginning, the middle or at the end of the decision making process about getting into Cannabis retail, then I truly feel we should talk. I’ve been where you are, no matter where you are in this process, I have been through what you are going through or what you have been through. This is a tough business for a variety of reasons.
